Speaking about and campaigning for social justice is a traditional prophetic ministry within the church. The Social Justice Forum of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW and ACT identifies social justice issues and implements campaigns to bring about social change. Currently there are four main campaign priorities:

- Fair Treatment campaign for drug law and policy reform;

- Uniting Affordable Housing campaign;

- Give Hope: Uniting for Asylum Seekers campaign; and

- Climate and environment campaigns led by our Uniting Earth Advocates.

The Uniting Church in NSW encourages and supports all people and all parts of the church to be informed and engage in social justice activity as an expression of their faith. There is provision of information and other resources, including an advocacy training package and guidance on meeting with MPs.

Information about social justice advocacy happening around the Synod is shared through the Social Justice Forum Facebook pages, newsletter, Synod's ‘Insights’ magazine and by other means.

These resources are available on the Synod website here.
